Despite holding the #8 spot in the Overall Fit Top Ten, Cape Girardeau, MO sees significant growth, signaling potential market momentum
Cape Girardeau, MO continues to strengthen its position in the freight market, with its Overall Fit Score rising to 17.26 this week—a notable increase of 5.03 points from the previous score, last week. While the region remains at #8 in the Overall Fit Top Ten, this growth outpaces many competitors, highlighting its evolving market dynamics
The underlying metrics offer deeper insights into this surge. Outbound Tender Volume has climbed to 44.5, and Inbound Tender Volume stands at 24.9, reinforcing Cape Girardeau’s strategic positioning.
The Head Haul Index also rose to 19.5, while the Outbound Tender Reject Index reached 13.47, indicating heightened capacity demand and tightening conditions in the region.
This growth trajectory is particularly impressive when compared to the decrease observed in October.
November has brought a sharper upward trend, suggesting that Cape Girardeau is more than holding its ground—it’s making waves.
With firms declaring the end of the freight recession and an upturn in rates likely coming in 2025, we anticipate positive momentum ahead.
