Outbound Tender Volume stands at 173.1, compared to Inbound Tender Volume of 110.1, resulting in a Head Haul Index of 63.0. This differential positions Cleveland as a moderate headhaul market, where outbound freight demand outpaces inbound flows, though less dramatically than more imbalanced markets. The spread indicates healthy outbound activity and consistent freight generation, while the relatively stronger inbound volume provides some ongoing capacity replenishment.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) registers at 32.10, reflecting elevated carrier rejections and firm tightening conditions. At this level, rejection activity signals meaningful carrier selectivity, as providers increasingly decline contracted freight in favor of higher-yield opportunities. This behavior suggests mounting pressure on outbound load coverage and strengthening spot market leverage.

Overall, Cleveland is demonstrating solid outbound momentum, supported by a sharply rising Fit Score, a clear headhaul advantage, and elevated rejection levels. If current trends persist, the market is positioned for continued tightening and upward pressure on outbound spot and contract rates in the near term.

Freight market conditions in Cincinnati, OH improved notably over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score increasing by 12.07 points to 31.47. This recovery follows a brief decline in late July and reflects improving freight fundamentals supported by stronger market balance and renewed carrier activity. As one of the Midwest's largest freight hubs, Cincinnati plays a critical role in national supply chains, serving manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods, food and beverage, retail distribution, and e-commerce shipments throughout the Midwest and Eastern United States.

Outbound Tender Volume is at 128.2, compared to 56.9 for Inbound Tender Volume, resulting in a 71.3 Head Haul Index. This substantial positive differential indicates that outbound freight demand significantly exceeds inbound volumes, creating a strong headhaul market where carriers have ample outbound freight opportunities. Such a large imbalance typically supports stronger carrier utilization, tighter equipment availability, and firmer freight pricing as outbound demand continues to outpace inbound flows.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) is currently at 22.72, indicating elevated carrier rejection activity and moderately tight capacity conditions. While rejection levels remain below the elevated thresholds seen in the strongest carrier markets, an OTRI above 20 suggests that carriers are becoming increasingly selective in accepting contracted freight, causing more shipments to enter the spot market. This reflects improving carrier leverage and continued strengthening in market conditions.

Overall, Cincinnati is demonstrating positive market momentum following last week’s rebound. The increase in the Fit Score, combined with an exceptionally strong Head Haul Index and elevated OTRI, suggests that freight demand continues to favor outbound movements while carrier capacity is gradually tightening. As a major transportation and distribution hub, Cincinnati’s market performance will continue to be influenced by manufacturing output, retail distribution, consumer demand, and broader Midwest freight flows as market conditions continue to evolve.

Freight market conditions in Augusta, ME strengthened significantly over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score increasing by 17.46 points to 33.97. This substantial improvement reflects strengthening freight fundamentals driven by rising shipping activity and tightening carrier capacity. While Augusta is a smaller freight market than many major logistics hubs, it plays an important role in serving regional distribution, forest products, construction materials, food and beverage shipments, and consumer goods moving throughout Maine and the broader Northeast.

Outbound Tender Volume is at 38.8, compared to 32.9 for Inbound Tender Volume, resulting in a 5.9 Head Haul Index. This positive differential indicates that outbound freight demand modestly exceeds inbound volumes, creating a slight headhaul market where carriers have somewhat stronger opportunities to secure outbound freight. Although the imbalance is relatively moderate, it still supports improved market conditions by increasing outbound demand relative to available capacity and providing some upward pressure on freight rates.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) is currently at 31.39, signaling elevated rejection activity and continued carrier capacity tightness. Rejection levels above 30 indicate that carriers are becoming increasingly selective in accepting contracted freight, causing more shipments to move into the spot market. This behavior reflects a tightening capacity environment that supports firmer transportation pricing and stronger negotiating leverage for carriers.

Overall, Augusta is demonstrating strong positive market momentum, supported by improving outbound freight demand, tightening carrier capacity, and elevated rejection rates. The sharp increase in the Fit Score, combined with a positive Head Haul Index and a high OTRI, suggests that market fundamentals have strengthened considerably over the past week. Regional manufacturing, forest products, construction activity, consumer distribution, and seasonal freight demand across New England will continue to influence market performance as freight conditions evolve.

Freight market conditions in Memphis, TN continued to strengthen over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score increasing by 8.02 points to 37.33. This notable improvement reflects stronger freight fundamentals driven by elevated shipping activity, tightening carrier capacity, and resilient market conditions. As one of the nation's largest freight and distribution hubs, Memphis benefits from its strategic location along major interstate corridors, its extensive rail infrastructure, and the presence of one of the world's busiest cargo airports, supporting significant freight flows across retail, consumer goods, automotive, manufacturing, and parcel distribution.

Outbound Tender Volume is at 184.5, compared to 115.0 for Inbound Tender Volume, resulting in a 69.5 Head Haul Index. This positive differential indicates that outbound freight demand significantly exceeds inbound volumes, creating a headhaul market where carriers have ample opportunities to secure outbound loads. Such an imbalance typically supports stronger outbound rates, as higher shipping demand relative to inbound freight increases competition for available truckload capacity and enhances carrier pricing power.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) is currently at 30.30, signaling elevated rejection activity and continued carrier capacity tightness. Rejection levels above 30 indicate a competitive freight environment where carriers are increasingly selective in accepting contracted freight, causing more loads to spill into the spot market. This dynamic increases competition among shippers for available equipment and supports firmer transportation pricing, particularly in a market with strong outbound demand like Memphis.

Overall, Memphis is demonstrating strong positive market momentum, supported by robust outbound freight demand, tightening carrier capacity, and elevated rejection rates. The continued increase in the Fit Score, combined with a highly positive Head Haul Index, suggests that market fundamentals remain favorable for carriers and point to sustained pricing strength. Regional manufacturing activity, retail distribution, parcel and intermodal freight, and Memphis’ critical role as a national logistics gateway will remain key drivers of market performance as freight conditions continue to evolve.

Freight market conditions in Little Rock, AR continued to improve over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score increasing by 5.56 points to 35.51. This steady gain reflects strengthening freight fundamentals supported by elevated shipping activity, tightening carrier capacity, and improving market dynamics. As a major transportation hub located at the intersection of several interstate corridors in the Southeast, Little Rock continues to benefit from strong freight flows across manufacturing, retail distribution, food products, and consumer goods, reinforcing its importance within regional supply chains.

Outbound Tender Volume is at 68.3, compared to 79.2 for Inbound Tender Volume, resulting in a -10.9 Head Haul Index. This negative differential indicates that inbound freight volumes continue to exceed outbound demand, creating a backhaul market where carriers may face greater challenges securing reload opportunities after delivering freight into the region. While this freight imbalance generally places some downward pressure on outbound rates, Little Rock’s role as a major logistics and distribution center helps support consistent freight availability and equipment utilization despite the inbound-heavy profile.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) is currently at 38.33, signaling very high rejection activity and continued capacity tightness. Rejection levels approaching 40 indicate a highly competitive freight environment where carriers have significant leverage in selecting loads. Elevated contract load rejections typically drive additional freight into the spot market, increasing competition among shippers for available truckload capacity and supporting stronger transportation pricing despite the market’s backhaul characteristics.

Overall, Little Rock is demonstrating continued positive market momentum, supported by robust freight volumes, tightening carrier capacity, and elevated rejection rates. Although the market remains inbound-heavy, the continued increase in the Fit Score highlights improving freight conditions and suggests that strengthening demand is offsetting the effects of the negative Head Haul Index. Regional manufacturing output, retail distribution activity, food and agricultural shipments, and Little Rock’s strategic location within the Southeast transportation network will remain key factors influencing market performance as freight conditions continue to evolve.

Freight market conditions in Texarkana, TX continued to strengthen over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score reaching 46.41, reinforcing its position among the nation's strongest freight markets. The market continues to benefit from favorable freight fundamentals supported by healthy outbound demand, a positive freight balance, and elevated carrier rejection activity. Positioned at the intersection of major east-west and north-south freight corridors, Texarkana remains an important longhaul freight hub connecting the Southeast, Southwest, and Midwest, where tightening capacity continues to create favorable operating conditions for carriers.

Outbound Tender Volume stands at 11.2, while Inbound Tender Volume measures 3.8, resulting in a positive 7.4 Head Haul Index. This imbalance reflects outbound demand continuing to outpace inbound freight, supporting stronger equipment utilization and favorable market conditions for carriers operating in and around Texarkana. While overall freight volumes remain moderate, the positive Head Haul balance suggests that available outbound opportunities continue to exceed inbound capacity, helping maintain a healthy freight environment.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) currently sits at 31.03, signaling continued carrier selectivity and tightening effective capacity. Rejection levels above 30 typically indicate a competitive freight environment where carriers have greater flexibility in choosing loads. As contract capacity tightens, additional freight is likely to shift into the spot market, creating continued support for stronger pricing across regional and longhaul lanes moving through Texarkana.

Overall, Texarkana continues to demonstrate favorable freight market conditions supported by a positive headhaul balance, healthy outbound demand, and sustained carrier rejection activity. Its strong Overall Fit Score reflects a market where freight demand remains well positioned relative to available capacity. As a key crossroads connecting major freight corridors across Texas, Arkansas, and the broader southern U.S., Texarkana is expected to remain an attractive market for carriers if current supply and demand trends continue.

Freight market conditions in Jefferson City, MO strengthened notably over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score increasing by 8.89 points to 36.47. This meaningful improvement reflects strengthening freight fundamentals supported by balanced freight flows, elevated carrier rejection rates, and improving market dynamics. Located in central Missouri with access to key regional transportation corridors, Jefferson City continues to benefit from stable outbound shipping activity and tightening capacity conditions that are becoming increasingly favorable for carriers

Outbound Tender Volume is at 22.3, compared to 20.5 for Inbound Tender Volume, resulting in a 1.8 Head Haul Index. This modest positive differential indicates that outbound freight demand is slightly exceeding inbound volumes, creating a balanced but favorable headhaul environment for carriers operating in the market. While the freight imbalance remains relatively limited compared to larger distribution markets, the positive Head Haul Index suggests that outbound demand is sufficient to support healthy equipment utilization and maintain stable capacity conditions. Markets with modest headhaul advantages often experience more consistent freight flows while avoiding the extreme imbalances that can create excessive volatility.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) is currently at 34.99, signaling elevated rejection activity and continued capacity tightness. Rejection levels above 30 generally indicate a highly competitive freight environment where carriers have greater flexibility to be selective about the freight they accept. This elevated rejection rate suggests that contract capacity remains constrained, encouraging additional participation in the spot market and placing upward pressure on transportation rates as shippers compete to secure available truckload capacity.

Overall, Jefferson City is demonstrating improving market momentum, supported by balanced outbound demand, a modestly favorable headhaul balance, and elevated carrier rejection behavior. The significant increase in the Fit Score highlights strengthening freight market conditions and suggests that capacity is tightening relative to freight demand. Regional manufacturing activity, agricultural freight movements, consumer goods distribution, and Jefferson City’s strategic location within Missouri’s transportation network will remain important factors to monitor as market conditions continue to evolve.

Freight market conditions in Nashville, TN strengthened considerably over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score increasing by 9.21 points to 39.34. This substantial improvement reflects strengthening freight fundamentals driven by robust outbound shipment activity, elevated carrier rejection rates, and a highly favorable freight balance. As a major logistics and distribution hub in the Southeast with direct access to key interstate corridors, Nashville continues to benefit from strong regional freight demand and tightening capacity conditions that are becoming increasingly supportive of carrier pricing power.

Outbound Tender Volume is at 133.0, compared to 105.9 for Inbound Tender Volume, resulting in a 27.1 Head Haul Index. This significant positive differential indicates that outbound freight demand continues to substantially exceed inbound volumes, creating a highly favorable headhaul environment for carriers operating in the market. The imbalance suggests that freight is leaving the market at a considerably faster pace than it is entering, contributing to tighter outbound capacity and stronger equipment utilization. Elevated headhaul conditions of this magnitude often reflect sustained shipping activity from distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and consumer goods networks, increasing competition among shippers for available truckload capacity.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) is currently at 35.34, signaling elevated rejection activity and persistent capacity tightness. Rejection levels above 30 are generally indicative of a highly competitive freight environment where carriers have increased flexibility to be selective about the freight they accept. This level of rejection activity suggests that contract capacity is becoming increasingly constrained, encouraging greater participation in the spot market and placing upward pressure on transportation rates as shippers seek additional coverage options to secure capacity.

Overall, Nashville is demonstrating strong positive market momentum, supported by robust outbound demand, a highly favorable headhaul balance, and elevated carrier rejection behavior. The significant increase in the Fit Score highlights rapidly improving freight market conditions and suggests that capacity remains relatively tight compared to freight demand. Distribution activity, consumer goods freight flows, manufacturing output, and Nashville’s role as a key transportation hub connecting major Southeastern and Midwestern markets will remain important factors to monitor as market conditions continue to evolve.

Freight market conditions in Roanoke, VA improved over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score increasing by 2.92 points to 39.09. The gain reflects strengthening market fundamentals driven by robust outbound freight activity, elevated carrier rejection rates, and a favorable freight balance. Strategically located along major transportation corridors serving the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions, Roanoke continues to benefit from steady freight demand and tightening capacity conditions that are increasingly supportive of carrier pricing power.

Outbound Tender Volume is at 51.7, compared to 40.0 for Inbound Tender Volume, resulting in an 11.7 Head Haul Index. This positive differential indicates that outbound freight demand continues to exceed inbound volumes, creating a favorable headhaul environment for carriers operating in the market. The imbalance suggests that freight is leaving the market at a faster pace than it is entering, contributing to tighter outbound capacity and supporting stronger carrier utilization across regional and long-haul lanes. Strong outbound demand is often associated with increased competition among shippers for available truckload capacity, particularly during periods of tightening market conditions.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) is currently at 34.65, signaling elevated rejection activity and persistent capacity tightness. Rejection levels above 30 are generally indicative of a highly competitive freight environment where carriers have greater flexibility to be selective about the freight they accept. This level of rejection activity suggests that contract capacity is becoming increasingly constrained, which can drive stronger spot market participation and place upward pressure on transportation rates as shippers seek additional coverage options.

Overall, Roanoke is demonstrating positive market momentum, supported by strong outbound demand, a favorable headhaul balance, and elevated carrier rejection behavior. The continued increase in the Fit Score highlights improving freight market conditions and suggests that capacity remains relatively tight compared to freight demand. Manufacturing activity, distribution operations, and freight flows connecting Virginia with major markets throughout the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions will remain key factors to monitor as market conditions continue to evolve.

Freight market conditions in Cape Girardeau, MO improved over the past week, with the Overall Fit Score increasing by 7.13 points to 38.56. The gain reflects strengthening market fundamentals supported by a favorable outbound freight balance, elevated carrier rejection activity, and sustained demand across regional freight networks. Positioned along key transportation corridors connecting the Midwest and Southeast, Cape Girardeau continues to exhibit signs of tightening capacity conditions that are becoming increasingly supportive of carrier pricing power.

Outbound Tender Volume is at 34.6, compared to 23.5 for Inbound Tender Volume, resulting in an 11.2 Head Haul Index. This positive differential indicates that outbound freight demand continues to exceed inbound volumes, creating a favorable headhaul environment for carriers operating in the market. While the imbalance is not as pronounced as some larger manufacturing hubs, it nevertheless suggests that freight is leaving the market at a faster pace than it is entering, contributing to tighter outbound capacity and supporting carrier utilization across regional lanes.

The Outbound Tender Reject Index (OTRI) is currently at 32.35, signaling elevated rejection activity and persistent capacity tightness. Rejection levels above 30 are generally indicative of a highly competitive freight environment where carriers are increasingly selective about the loads they accept. This level of rejection activity can contribute to stronger spot market conditions and upward pressure on transportation rates as shippers compete for available truckload capacity.

Overall, Cape Girardeau is demonstrating positive market momentum, supported by healthy outbound demand, a favorable headhaul balance, and notably high carrier rejection behavior. The more than seven-point increase in the Fit Score highlights strengthening conditions and suggests that capacity remains constrained relative to freight demand. Regional manufacturing activity, agricultural freight flows, and distribution networks connecting Missouri, the Midwest, and the Southeast will remain important factors to monitor as market conditions continue to evolve.
