A key indicator of this rebound is the Outbound Tender Reject Index, which has climbed to 12.22, signaling tightening capacity. Additionally, the Head Haul Index now stands at 5.9, reinforcing the region’s positioning as a market with growing outbound demand.

While recent weeks saw a steep decline, the latest trends indicate potential stabilization and upward momentum. If this recovery continues, Rapid City could regain its footing and maintain a stronger position in the freight market.
